Synopsis
MAKERS: Women Who Make America is a multi-platform initiative, undertaken with PBS and AOL, which tells the compelling story of women’s advancement in America over the past 50 years. Produced by Kunhardt McGee in partnership with the award-winning teams of Storyville Films and WETA Washington, it is the first major media project to reveal the dramatic story of how women transformed America, told from the perspectives of courageous groundbreakers who continue to shape the world today. The opening phase, MAKERS.com, launched in 2012; the second phase, a three-part documentary on the women’s movement, is currently airing on PBS, as well as streamed on MAKERS.com.
