Rachel is a Los Angeles-based director and Emmy award-winning producer. She has a diverse body of work (spanning comedy, drama and action) with a focus on character and story. She began her career at a Roger Corman-esque studio, making everything from a steampunk/sci-fi giant vfx monster flick to a Christian musical. She’s directed seven features, distributed to Showtime, Netflix, Lifetime and SyFy. She helmed A DEADLY ADOPTION, a meta Lifetime movie starring Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig. Rachel spent 2013-14 as Funny or Die’s White House liaison, overseeing political content. She produced BETWEEN TWO FERNS W/ PRESIDENT OBAMA. Her directing work at FoD includes SNACKPOCALYPSE (Michelle Obama) and MARY POPPINS QUITS (Kristen Bell, promoting minimum wage increase). Rachel directed the critically acclaimed FoD series LADY TIME. Her episodic work includes THE MINDY PROJECT, MAN SEEKING WOMAN, ANGIE TRIBECA and TEACHERS. She’s completing the theatrical feature VALLEY GIRL for MGM, an 80s musical based on the 1983 film. She directed the pilot I’M SORRY and is currently directing the CW pilot PLAYING DEAD. Rachel studied filmmaking at Ithaca College. She was born in Mars, PA and raised in Massachusetts with her parents, brother, two cats and a ferret named Tootsie Roll.
