A Peabody winning director and producer, Senain is the director of feature documentaries such as the Emmy-nominated The Diplomat (ESPN) and Project Kashmir (Independent Lens). She has also written and directed several short films as well as produced projects with acclaimed directors Davis Guggenheim, James Longley and Morgan Spurlock. Her films have premiered at IDFA, Tribeca, Human Rights Watch Film Festival as well as screened at festivals around the world. Project Kashmir was selected as part of the prestigious US State Department’s prestigious ‘American Film Showcase.’ Production and distribution partners for her films include PBS/Independent Lens, Ch. 4 (UK), CNN, Cinelan, Focus Forward & A&E. Senain has received a Rockefeller/Media Arts Fellowship, three Sundance Fellowships, and two Tribeca All Access Fellowships. Currently, Senain is directing a feature documentary in Pakistan, creating and directing a series for a PBS Digital Studios and writing a screenplay about her Pakistani family. Senain very proudly serves on the Board of Directors of the International Documentary Association.
