Steffan Horowitz, Program Director, African Creative TV Initiative (ACTV)

Steffan is the Program Director of AFS’s new African Creative TV Initiative (ACTV). Before taking over ACTV, he spent 7 years as the Head of Exchanges for AFS. Prior to joining the AFS team, Steffan was at Participant Media, where he worked on such films as Spotlight, The Look of Silence, and An Inconvenient Sequel, among others. He started his professional career programming for the New York African Film Festival at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, as well as in the Human Rights Program of the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute. He holds a Master’s degree in African Studies from Indiana University.
