Caroline Libresco
Caroline Libresco is a leading film curator, producer, and creative executive, currently head of granting at Jewish Story Partners, a documentary film philanthropy founded in partnership with Steven Spielberg’s Righteous Persons Foundation. In 2019, she wrapped 19 years as senior programmer at the Sundance Film Festival, where she co-led documentary programming and spearheaded international competitions. She also co-founded the Sundance Producers Program and created and directed the Sundance Women’s Program. As director and chief curator of Sundance Catalyst, she built a community of 100+ investors, raising $31+ million for 89 films, including Writing with Fire, Truffle Hunters, Crip Camp, Social Dilemma, Won’t You Be My Neighbor, and The Witch. Caroline’s producing credits include Sundance 2023 entry Food and Country (producer/story producer, released by Greenwich Entertainment), AMC’s Our American Family (executive producer), Netflix Original Disclosure (executive producer), Peabody-winner American Revolutionary: The Evolution of Grace Lee Boggs (producer), Tribeca Jury Prize-winner Sunset Story (producer), and Justin Bond-starrer Fanci’s Persuasion (writer/producer). A member of AMPAS, she serves widely as moderator, artist interviewer, and film juror and holds degrees from Oberlin (BA), Harvard (MA), and UCLA Film School (MFA).
