Catherine Hoffman
Catherine Hoffman is an Emmy-winning \ documentary filmmaker, journalist, and TV host whose work lives at the intersection of identity, history, and culture. She currently works as a producer and director for the Chicago-based documentary production company Digifé, creating stories on Black life for local and national audiences.
Her latest film, Parker, had its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival and went on to be programmed as one of seven films in the Sundance Short Film Tour. In her time as a video journalist at Kansas City PBS, she won three regional Emmy Awards for her work documenting social issues and Black history. Her stories have been cited as sources in academic research for their historical findings and are screened in communities to foster connection.
