Erik Wolfie Wolford
Cinematographer Erik “Wolfie” Wolford specializes in features, commercials and documentaries. He is an expert in filming LED volumes. He’s certified by Epic games in Unreal Engine, and ICVFX.
As a cinematographer, Wolfie is known for his beauty lighting styles. His latest narrative work includes Europa- a film set on the surface of Jupiters moon. This was filmed on Sony’s stage 7, with Pixomondo running the VAD team.
Other features include Unicorn Diaries, True American Violence, and A Reunion of Secrets. One of his most recent Music videos was Miley Cyrus.
His television credits include all the LED wall work for Rob Lowe’s “Liberty or Die”, and Kelsey Grammar’s “George: Rise of a Revolutionary.”.
Wolfie does 1 day, 2 day, and 5 day seminars teaching Cinematography, Set Lighting, Screenplay writing, and Color theory in film. He Designed the LED WALL cinematography course for the Zigmund Vilmos CInema University in Budapest, as well as teaches 1 day seminars for CG PRO.
Wolfie filmed the award winning sports show “THE GOAT CODE: hosted by John Brinkus” at the Lux stage at Trillith studios in atlanta.
Wolfie has helmed Elevator Pitch seasons 8,9,10, 11 and 12, filmed at Brandstar stages in Miami. This is a 8 camera investor show, featuring heavy use of LED wall tech.
Wolfies documentary credits include filming Antarctica for Nat Geo, and Mt Everest for A Sherpa’s Life documentary, featuring Jamling Tenzig Norgay, the son of the first person to climb Mount Everest.
The Vilmos Zsigmond University in Budapest hired Wolfie to design a college course on LED Wall cinematography, and then teach the college professors how to teach the curriculum. The school has a state of the art LED wall and arri cameras and lighting.
Wolfie came up through the lighting department in the 1990’s lighting features, music videos and commercials with legendary directors Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, Mc. G and Francis Lawrence. Soon Wolfie was joining lighting crews on big-budget features including Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, JJ Abrams Star Trek: Into Darkness, and Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar.
