About the Filmmakers
Michael Fiore is CCO of Michael Fiore Films. Michael and his team develop, finance, and create content for the film, TV, and ad worlds. In 2017, Sony Screen Gems will release “Keep Watching” — a suspense thriller that Michael produced with Voltage Pictures (”The Hurt Locker”) and The Picture Company. The movie stars childhood Disney star Bella Thorne, Chandler Riggs (“The Walking Dead), and Natalie Martinez (FOX TV’s ”A.P.B.”). “Floyd Norman: An Animated Life”, was produced through Fiore’s production banner. It won awards at numerous US film festivals, screened theatrically in four cities including New York and Los Angeles to qualify it for Oscar consideration (2017), and it is currently streaming worldwide on Netflix.
Erik Sharkey is no stranger to the world of documentary. His previous feature documentary about famed movie poster artist Drew Struzan titled “Drew: The Man Behind the Poster” was noted as an “acclaimed documentary” on Netflix and screened at festivals all over the world. “Floyd Norman: An Animated Life” marks Erik and Michael Fiore’s first collaboration.
