Rachel is a Los Angeles-based director and Emmy award-winning producer. She has a diverse body of work (spanning comedy, drama and action) with a consistent focus on character and story. She began her career at a Roger Corman-esque studio, making everything from a steampunk/sci-fi giant vfx monster action flick to a Christian family musical. She’s directed seven features, distributed to Showtime, Netflix, Lifetime and SyFy. She helmed A Deadly Adoption, a meta Lifetime movie starring Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig. Rachel spent 2013-14 as Funny or Die’s White House liaison, overseeing political content. She produced Between Two Ferns With President Obama. Her directing work at FoD includes Snackpocalypse starring Michelle Obama; Mary Poppins Quits with Kristen Bell (promoting minimum wage increase) and Modern Office starring Christina Hendricks (advocating workplace equality for women). Rachel directed the critically acclaimed FoD series Lady Time. Her episodic work includes The Mindy Project, Man Seeking Woman, and Angie Tribeca. She directed the pilot I’m Sorry, which TruTV picked up, starring Andrea Savage, Judy Greer and Jason Mantzoukas. Rachel studied filmmaking at Ithaca College. She was born in Mars, PA and raised in Massachusetts with her parents, brother, two cats and a ferret named Tootsie Roll.
