Tamta Gabrichidze (Georgia)

Tamta Gabrichidze was born in Georgia, Tbilisi 1986. she earned bachelor’s degree in Film directing at Film and Theatre University of Georgia. Later she continued studies as PR at Georgian institute of public affairs. Her video arts had been screened at more than twenty international art exhibitions worldwide. She worked on many film productions, both Georgian and international, on different positions (Directors assistant, art director, vision mixer, costume supervisor, director, producer). After more than fifteen years of experience working in television and film Industry on different positions Tamta now works as freelancer film director/producer/scriptwriter and runs her small production company. As a freelance writer she also collaborates with different art magazines. Tamta’s latest documentary film THE TRADER(SOVDAGARI), is winner of more than twenty international festivals including SUNDANCE, HOTDOCS. The same film is the first Georgian film distributed by NETFLIX worldwide.
